Senior’s Center

Vanaprastha Villa

Death is the most important moment in life. How we meet it determines our future.

Followers of Sanatana Dharma understand how important the state of our consciousness is at the time we leave the body for our soul's journey. The modern secular framework of the death industry has normalized practices which have a direct impact on the quality of this experience; pumping the body with drugs, social isolation, essentially rendering a person unconscious in the name of mercy.

Our goal is to provide an environment that facilitates an empowering and liberating experience for people greeting death, starting with a natural, meaningful, regulated life. In Vedic culture, at the age of 50, householders begin the gradual detachment process from material responsibilities and family ties. This phase is referred to as Vanaprastha, which means to reside in the forest.

The Villa will consist of individual micro-cabins, or kutirs, where residents will be supported to focus on their sadhana and spiritual evolution. By sharing their knowledge gained over a lifetime of experience, they contribute to the community as teachers, leaders and guides.

The space features a central hub producing sattvic, home grown meals, sustainable wood heating, clean spring water and meaningful engagement. Seniors are situated independently in small cabins (kutirs) with all needs tended by dedicated caregivers.
